1) If drastic measures are not implemented the National Insurance Scheme can well collapse. Members of the New Democratic Party continue to warn the government about restructuring the NIS before the company goes under.
Today’s warning came from elected representative of South Leeward the Hon. Nigel Stephenson. Stephenson is calling on Vincentians to be aware of their investment because it can be taken away from them if rigid measures are not implemented to save the NIS.
He said the evidence indicates that the only thing this government is concern about is staying in power and not the welfare of Vincentians.
Stephenson further added that it is time for another manager to manage the affairs of this country, one that will work in the best interest of the people.
The ULP government is bankrupt with ideas, they are tired and are ready to go and looking for a way out. Grant them their request and let them go, Stephenson said.
