Jamaican born Wesley Alexander- James is the new Acting High Court judge in St. Vincent and the Grenadines

Jamaican born Wesley Alexander- James is the new Acting High Court judge in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Alexander- James took the oath earlier this week to serve in the High Court as a judge for a one year period.

At the swearing- in ceremony, Alexander- James expressed pleasure at the welcome he has received since coming to St. Vincent and is hopeful that this warm reception will continue for his one year tenure here.

The new High Court judge said that he intends to bring change to deal with the backlog of criminal cases here, describing this backlog as a “Caribbean phenomenon”.

Meanwhile, Justice Bruce- Lyle said that James’ contribution to the country will assist greatly in the system of investigating and solving the many criminal cases that currently exists.
